The transmission of Sufi teachings occurs through the sacred bond between a Peer-w-Murshid (Spiritual Master) and a Mureed (Disciple). This relationship establishes a vital connection within the lineage of an authentic Sufi Order, ultimately tracing its roots back to the esteemed Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Referred to as the Lineage Tree (Shajrah’i Tayyaba), this chain of initiation or silsilah serves as a testament to the unbroken transmission of spiritual knowledge and guidance from generation to generation.

The silsilah connects the current Shaikh of the Order, Hazrat Shaikh Mohammad Salim Shah Qadri Al-Chisti Tanveeri Peer Madzillahul Aa'li, to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) through the two main Sufi Orders, Qadri and Chisti. Each of these is named after the name of a prominent Shaikh of the order.

The Qadri silsilah holds a significant place in the rich tapestry of Sufi traditions. It traces its lineage back to the esteemed Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (R.A), a renowned spiritual master and a revered figure in Islamic history. With a legacy spanning centuries, the Qadri silsilah has been instrumental in imparting profound spiritual teachings and fostering a deep connection with the Divine. Today, followers of the Qadri silsilah continue to draw inspiration from its teachings, seeking spiritual growth, guidance, and enlightenment on the path of devotion and love for Allah.

The Chisti silsilah is a venerable Sufi lineage that carries the essence of divine love and spiritual enlightenment. Originating from the esteemed Shaikh Moinuddin Chishti (R.A), a revered saint and mystic, the Chisti silsilah has left an indelible mark on the spiritual landscape of Islam. Known for its emphasis on the values of compassion, humility, and service to humanity, the Chisti silsilah has inspired countless seekers on the path of spiritual awakening. Its teachings encompass the unity of all beings and the profound realization of the divine presence in every heart. Today, the Chisti silsilah continues to guide and uplift souls, nurturing a deep connection with the divine and spreading the message of love and harmony throughout the world.

Remember:

  • Shajra is a connective path till Huzoor-e-Pur Noor Sayyadul Aalameen Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam).

  • Reciting the names of holy ancestors of silsila begins to shower blessings.

  • Name by name presenting Aisal-e-Sawab to our holy ancestors and then the holy sight of our ancestors fall upon us.

  • When the reader of shajra will recite their names in the time of trouble then he will be helped and so every devotee should recite his Shajra-e-Mubaraka after namaz-e-fajar religiously, or should be read any time and get the blessings.

Note: Recitation of Shajra is better than keeping in the grave.
